About Kronenwetter
Kronenwetter, incorporated in 2002, is Wisconsin’s largest village encompassing 52 square miles. As of 2010, the village had a population of 7,210 residents.
The west side of the Kronenwetter village limits is right on the Wisconsin River. The river runs for approximately 430 miles, beginning in Lac Veiux Desert and draining into the Mississippi River near Prairie du Chien. With it’s close proximity to Kronenwetter, the Wisconsin River offers great recreational opportunities for the residents of the village. Within the village you’ll also find the Kronenwetter Forest Unit. The forest offers trails for walking, running, hiking, and snowmobile riding. There are also many ponds and streams that run through the forest, which are all surrounded by wetlands.
Kronenwetter is just to the south of Wausau, so the feel of city living is never out of reach. Wausau offers tons of different shops, recreational opportunities, and events throughout all the months of the year. All of these endless opportunities ensure that there will always be something to do just a short drive away.
